Sharing the Gospel of Christ

Since its founding, the Hellenic Orthodox Community of Astoria—anchored by our two churches, Saint Demetrios and Saints Catherine and George—has experienced remarkable growth. Our community encompasses both the Greek American Day School (serving preschool through Grade 12) and our Greek Afternoon School, fostering a vibrant environment of faith, education, and culture.

We remain steadfast in our commitment to bearing faithful witness to the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, as preserved in the apostolic tradition and worship of the Greek Orthodox Church. Equally, we strive to uphold and promote the richness of the Greek language and Hellenic heritage.

We warmly invite you to take part in this sacred and cultural mission by joining us in worship, fellowship, and service.
